Anyone got comparisons between this and the hd 600? I need a closed back can for the office.
Just not the mdrz7 which has terrible muddy mids.
Just get the 600.
Both are nuetral, the 600 isn't as detailed, but I used to own ether Cs and this is what I didn't like about them.
- something off with bass to mid transition, sounds extremely clean and detailed but not natural
- they're heavy for extended use
- the price lmao
Ether C and Ether CX have very different sound signatures
I use mine as my office headphones because of the quality, isolation, and comfort. I don't have a HD600 but I do have a HD6XX and I don't use it much anymore. The Ethers are a lot more detailed than the 6XX but are not as dark, also the bass extension is much better on the Ethers. Ethers also do well with EQ, so you can make them a bit darker if you want. Can also use the included inserts to play around with the sound. I would recommend Ethers for closed headphones, there are not a lot of choices in high quality closed headphones. Although, I wouldn't recommend Ethers as travel closed headphones, too expensive.
