The sliders on my headphones completely failed. I kept adjusting them tighter over the years until the plastic finally stripped and they can neither be tightened or adjusted. Contacted DKA a few days ago and they promptly sent me replacement parts. However, the plastic on those seems to have gone bad and they cracked as soon as I tried to screw the sliders together. Called DKA to see if they can send more and check the plastic first to make sure it's not too brittle. The woman told me she'd try. So keeping my fingers crossed that they have better replacement parts or these headphones are kind of useless unless I hack together a solution.

adf02kdI'm in the same boat as you. Emailed DCA today and I'll see what happens.

OkeerWell they said they couldn't ship me a replacement but that they'd get me in touch with a distributor but it's been a couple months now. I wrapped an elastic just above the broken clip to keep the headband in place

OkeerThat's sad. for the price I wish these lasted longer than they did. I've since moved on. With how Dan Clark/Mr. Speaker handled this after I raised the issue I will never buy another pair of headphones from them. They didn't have a solution and would reply very slowly. The truth is these headphones are defective. The sliders break after a certain amount of time, the plastic gets brittle, and they do not have anything to replace them with that will be a permanent fix. The best they can do is send you more of the sliders which have become brittle in storage and just break when you try to screw them on. Instead of acknowledging the issue and making better replacement sliders Dan Clark's decision is to just ignore the problem. The women who I spoke with when calling for support really did not know what to do aside from sending more faulty sliders. That's a shame, I was in the market for a flagship headphone and if the fine folks at Mr. Speaker treated this right I would have probably bought their Stealth headphones. Instead, I'm a happy owner of a pair of HD800S. Oh well, their loss.
