These black-on-white keycaps make keyboards look very clean. It's not very busy and makes it look like a simple keyboard (in a good way!). They keycaps are quality and nice feeling. Would recommend!
These keycaps feel different vs the OEM and cherry profile keycaps I'm use to using. They feel much higher, but the caps themselves feel like they conform more to your fingers (if that makes any sense). Texture is smoother than PBT keycaps, and I do wish they had more texture to them. Other than that these are great! Feel like I need to get a wrist rest with these however
I also own this set as a DCX set and I think I prefer the DCX profile in general, but this is a great MT3 version. The quality and feel are excellent. I will say that I got them on sale during a flash sale and it was a no brainer (as others have said). I would not get them at full price though... why? Well, for full price I just would want something with more flare, that's all.
Now before I say anything about the keycaps, I bought it for 50$ plus 15$ shipping which was very cheap, like 59% cheaper. For this price it is a no brainer of course, that's why I bought it.
Shipping was sufficiently quick. I ordered it to Budapest, Hungary and it arrived on the 12th day's morning, so I'm guessing for other european countries in the area it will be similar.
The keycaps in my opinion are great, they look absolutely stunning, feel great, and honest to god It feels much better then my previous OEM profile key caps were. I also make mistakes quite a bit less. The domes are on top of the keycaps feel nice, it makes it harder to hit other keys accidentally because you can feel out if you are only hitting a single key better.
Personally I don't see what other reviews said about the fonts not being exactly uniform, but honestly I think they are just being too nit picky. No normal person looks at each of their keycaps with a freaking microscope. Looking at it from a normal distance, I cannot really see anything out of place with the font, it's crisp, and looks great.
When I did my basic research on the MT3 profile I read that they ideally should be used with a 5-7 degrees of slope, and they are right. when I put my keyboard to 10 degrees of slope it was a bit awkward, and my wrist started to get tired, most likely because it was too high. So stick to 5-7 degrees, otherwise you probably need an wrist rest.
Now pricing: Some people in other reviews said that 120 is a bit too much, and I kinda agree with them for most people, but it also depends what kind of person you are. If you are a typist who is looking for a profile that's more comfortable to type on, and you also like the unique look of them they most definitely worth the 120 + shipping.
I think if you can get them under 100$ that would be a more ideal. Realistically they should be around 100$ mostly because they aren't made from pbt, which is especially not the best choice for white keycaps, because if they are exposed to lot of sunlight throughout the years, they will most likely get yellow. But personally that doesn't really bother me, I like the stained-white look.
last thing I would like to tell for potential buyers, is that even though these keycaps are double shot, the spacebar isn't. It's very hollow, and it was way too thin sounding for me. But I managed to fix it by applying two layers of painters tape on the inside walls of the spacebar, and it's now thocky-er, and smoother sounding. overall much better.
I also put painters tape on the inside walls of the tab, capslock, left and right shifts, enter and backspace as well as the "\" (under the backspace, above the enter key) keys, so they sound more uniform, and more thocky. it sound much better like this I recommend doing them if you are looking for thockier, smoother sound.
I overall recommend these keycaps very much.
I like these Black on White key caps as they fit perfectly on my Polar Bear board. It just makes me feel like it’s snowing even when it’s not snowing outside. Very nice feel mainly due to the MT3 Molding.
