It looks great but I was expecting it with PBT.
Because except Susuwatari it was always PBT, including /dev/tty, Godspeed and Serika.
Why I prefer PBT because; it is superior to ABS pretty much everywhere. It doesn't shine like ABS, it has better texture. I guess ABS is better in terms of more color options and easy to work with.
3277 is going to be ABS as well. I think drop really wants to use their new tooling since it took so long to make, plus you can see in other comments they've made that they can produce a PBT set and an ABS one at the same time, so they were able to churn these out while still working on the latest dev/tty run. In addition, some people like ABS because the double shot legends have sharper edges than dye sub, and you don't have to worry about light edges from reverse dye sub (which this particular set would have to be.) I would like to see a PBT black on white set for the added durability.
Edit 10/23: You know, when I mentioned reverse dye sub, I didn't even consider the fact that drop probably can't do that with MT3 yet. All the PBT sets have been dark legends on lighter base, and then all the dark base material sets coming out (this one included) have been ABS.
This is a WoB set though, susuwatari is a dye subbed PBT set. You can't really do the same thing with WoB unless you reverse dye sub. PBT being superior is your own preference, all ABS sets aren't bad.
I'm sitting in front of the fantastic Sasuwatari set right now and it's double shot ABS, not dye sub PBT... so just like these sets :-) I have both Sasuwatari and the PBT dev/tty and I like the sound of the ABS more... but the texture of the PBT is a bit nicer IMHO. Either way... they are both great sets!
Susuwatari is double shot ABS, in fact it's the set drop created the ABS MT3 tooling for!
Interesting, not sure why @Cemm Said it was always PBT then
Edit, Turns out i didnt read his reply properly, i assumed he said Susu was PBT
