I'm thinking of getting this set, but I also want to have the Japanese enter key. Is that included in the base kit or is it an additional $45 in addition to the base kit?

The 'Japanese enter key' is only included in the Warnings kit - therefore an additional $45.

its a rama works m60-a in the dark green sage colorway. it was a groupbuy, so you can't purchase it directly anymore, but you can look on r/mechmarket for one.

Can someone explain what this pre-order is? Is this a set of extras that are being shipped 5months after purchase for some reason?

It is exactly that, you pay now and will get the product in 5 month+ though considering that these are gmk keycaps i think 5 month is pretty fast. You will find that drop has a lot of those pre-order type items and it is rather common to do that in the mechanical keyboard buisness
