I received my SDAC/AMP ahead of schedule packaged in a way to ensure no damage occurred. Prior to its arrival, I did some reading of others who also received their amps and found a few complaining that their left and right channels were switched. So, I checked mine and found the same discrepancy. Since I have headphones that allow me to easily swap cable ends I corrected the error outside of the amp. With that said, I quickly connected my amp to my laptop and began listening to my stored music collection. Immediately, I found that my collection of music sounded like crap. Before I condemned the amp, I changed my music source and the amp/headphones combination began to reproduce music in my ears. I have the Grace SDAC as a separate component so that sound signature was expected. However, the amp portion of the combo is a little different from my AAA 789. Because of this difference I will wait to give my final comments on the amps musical signature with an update in the near future. Manufacturing quality appears to be the issue. Without knowledge from others about the switched left and right channels I am not certain when I would have played my reference disk and found this error on my own. So this quality issue concerns me. Nonetheless, I will wait to see how Drop intends to correct this issue before I make further comments pertaining to this specific subject. Update    Order status update
Hi Everyone,We've had reports about the latest O2 + SDAC having reversed channels. We've spoken with our contract manufacturer and they have determined that the mistake was in their production process and it affects the entire batch of shipped units. They're currently working on making a new batch and sending them to us.For all orders shipped in September, we will be sending you a replacement unit in 6-8 weeks. All is well in the house tonight listening to some Wynton Marsalis with my Hifiman HE-5XX and loving the warm sound this combo is producing. Thanks again Drop, not just for correcting a mistake (we all make mistakes) but for ensuring that your customers are satisfied.
