Our PC38X has quite the pedigree. With tens of thousands of units sold—and a nearly 5-star average review—it started as a project with the audiophile icon Sennheiser Read More
I'm not sure how or why, but there is a rubber section on the mic boom that has cracked open, and seems to have disabled said mic. The headset is dead after just over 3.5 years of pretty significant daily use (and just 6 months after the extended warranty lapsed). Is this good? I don't know. For the price, I would have hoped to get 5-10 years out of it. Replacing a $200 headset every 3 years seems ruinous. Maybe mine was a fluke, though. I will probably buy another one, but I hope I don't end up stuck in a cycle.
The main differences between the original Sennheiser product (I own one) and this one are 1) the clamping tension is way too high compared to the original, and 2) Drop added a bump to the interior of the ear-cups that rub on your ears. These two issues make the headset uncomfortable to wear beyond about 45-60 minutes. It’s too bad because the original Sennheiser headset was the best headphone/mic combination that I had ever found.

Best headset I've ever owned — no competition
From the moment I put the Drop PC38X on, Iimmediately heard the difference. The clarity is unreal — footsteps, rain, dialogue, subtle SFX — everything just came alive like never before. Whether I’m on PC or Xbox, the versatility is flawless.
Build-wise, it screams quality. The materials feel premium, durable, and clearly built to last. It’s comfortable even after hours of use. And at this price? Nothing else comes close. You’re getting near-audiophile performance for under $200.
Yes, the packaging isn’t flashy — but who cares? It protects the headset and gets the job done. And while international shipping took a while, it was 100% worth the wait.If you're on the fence, don’t be. This isn’t just a gaming headset — it’s a game-changer.
A friend let me borrow his headset and fell in love with it and had to get my own pair. I have never owned an open back headset, and was not disappointed. The sound is crisp and clear compared to closed back. Lets me distinguish all noises while playing horror games, which makes it more spooky.
sound is phenomenal, I bought this to replace my sennheiser x drop x380 after it's mic had failed after about 3 years, the mic on this unit failed after 4 weeks, I'm just going to only use desktop mics from now on and get myself a dedicated pair of headphones with no mic

Love them. Great Build quality !
Love them. Much better sound quality than LOGITECH PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED. Only downside is that they are not wireless. Hope they will make wireless version.
We've bought the Drop + EPOS PC38X multiple times, and it never disappoints. The sound quality is top-notch, offering clear, immersive audio perfect for gaming. It's lightweight and super comfortable, even for long sessions. The mic is crisp, and the open-back design gives a natural soundstage. If you want a reliable, high-quality headset, this is it!
