I got into mechanical keyboards after discovering this keycap set as I realized I wanted to put together my own custom mechanical keyboard using these keycaps as the theming for my entire setup. I'm proud of owning these and the designs are absolutely gorgeous. They pair very well with the Omatsuri Festival Amaterasu deskmat as well.
The options to purchase tkl and 65% are great and welcome so you don't overspend on caps you aren't going to use. Keeps the price within reason and an easy first GMK set to buy.
So I had pbt knockoffs. They weren't really red, almost brown. Decided to give gmk a chance. The legit red samurai does use a better red, so happy with that. The texture of the keycaps is slighty grainy? Feels good. Sound better too.
I purchased these some time ago, and I was fortunate enough to make the TKL kit work with my Quefrency keyboard from keeb.io. I understand what Drop was trying to do by offering these kits that would work with keyboard form factors that they sold, but I'd like to see a move toward offering more versatile kits at affordable prices, now that other form factors are coming into vogue.
