Hey everyone, Wanted to take this opportunity to answer some of the questions we are seeing in discussion. A question I’ve seen coming up is why this "incomplete" set has been offered instead of a full rerun of GMK Red Samurai. I understand the frustration from those that wanted a full set, however this product run was aimed create more compatibility to many of the keyboards we’ve sold in the last few years. In fact, one of the more common requests from many users was for us to offer more custom keycaps for these keyboards without having to buy a bunch of unused keycaps. The GMK Red Samurai, MT3 /dev/tty, XDA Canvas, and SA Pulse sets we offered in limited kits were our attempt to address this request. This does not mean we’ll move away from traditional keycap group buys. Every month, we’ll continue to launch full fledged keycap buys with all the options and Red Samurai will definitely return at some point where people can choose from latin only alphas to Dvorak compatibility. For those that are curious - there will also be a full GMK group buy with one of our favorite designers before we wrap up 2019 - full fledged keycap group buys are one of my favorite product offerings each month and we’ll continue to find cool new designs and bring back beloved sets.

YanboWuI understand the meaning you want to talk about. This is to reduce unnecessary keys and make them easier to purchase. but If I point out the problem, The keycap is reduced but the price is not reduced. To convince me for the reasons you said, you'll have to cut the price down even further. I think it looks a lot more expensive compared to other GMKs. The profit margin per individual you take seems much higher than the amount excluding unnecessary keys. You said you made it cheaper, but did you reduce the profit margin for a sale? (Since the price per individual is low, the profit per one set of sales should be reduced in consideration of the number of sales.) In addition, this stock is likely to have lowered the unit price even more, as you ordered the first GB of R2 in bulk at the same time.In my opinion In my view, This new way of selling is seen as a way to raise money more easily. Would you like to reduce unnecessary keycaps for easier access? very good so. Where did the price of the missing keycap run away? Haven't you put in your wallet.

YanboWuWhy do I have to get the 1800 kit and the ortho just to get a numpad? I’m trying to get the ortho kit and a numpad to fill an xd75 ortho. Is there any way I can just add a numpad for a reasonable price?

Bayonett_PriestWell, you could use it, if only you let go of the fixation on your national layout ;-) Just joking, I understand we all have our preferences, often very strong ones. I'm just glad I'm used to standard ANSI (well, on the rare occasion I don't use ortho) - much less limiting :) (It's mainly because there are no Czech sets whatsoever - apart from some rare OG Cherry ones.)
OrangeShadowthe thing is look at the ansi layout and then look up the german layout the numberow lefgends are different and the whole right side is totaly different too! i would have to relearn to type when i switch to ansi! and ansi does not have ÜÖÄß!

Bayonett_PriestYeah, I know what you mean. But, when you learn to touch type, the legends don't really matter any more ;-)

YanboWuLol this doesn't make any sense. You could offer all these kits along side another normal more inclusive base kit. This set is in such high demand you would still hit MOQ most likely. And you barely reduced the cost anyway.

Bayonett_PriestI switched to ANSI and learned touch typing with it. And I'm glad I did it. With the US International layout I get even more special characters than with ISO. (äöü.. for example are a dead key combo of " and the letter) The biggest pro for ANSI is that it works best with most of anything that is out there. Different keyboard layouts are almost always an oversight in localization. And all the special characters used in programming languages are also easier to use as they are not in weird locations as with ISO.

YanboWuSo this is still a lie. Now there is another group buy for the same kits with horrible compatibility. Edit: thank you.
