FayneSame as how a person can get fire from their job if a video of them acting like a "karen" or a racist rant surface. Maybe because it gives off a bad image of the company? Purr1n was involved in the tuning of the 8xx so yes, him going on a rant and calling people dickhead does give off a bad image.

DYC1Wildly different actions and situations. If I was termed for calling someone a dickhead outside of work, I’d likely win a wrongful termination lawsuit. All y’all can straight fuck off if you think someone calling someone else a dick is a big bad evil thing. What are you all, like 5 fucking years old and tattling to the kindergarten teacher? You’re just as bad as the Karens screaming at people. All I see is a bunch of kids QQing because big meanie purr1n called someone a very mildly bad name. Personally I don’t give two rats asses if he (or anyone else for that matter) wants to use their first amendment rights to speak their mind, even if is a bit rude. Even if the Drop management does flip their shit, what are they going to do? Not send him preview copies of their cans? Oh noes.

GiantHeadphoneSquidYou haven't been on the internets terribly long, have you? I guess vernacular has been going through some rather rapid changes, especially with all of these snowflakes who take everything anyone says on the internet as a personal affront. I mean, I'm not terribly surprised from the generations who got prizes for losing, but It sure saddens me that something so absolutely simple like this draws all of the Karens. I mean, personally I prefer the succinct "piss off scrub", but sometimes it is nice to have the finality of "fuck off and die". Or better yet "fuck off and die in a car fire". Who cares in the end? You hear far worse in TV shows, movies, and modern music. It isn't like they explicitly threatened to ded the target of the insult. It isn't like they raped a puppy, kicked a kitten, or spewed racist bullshit (or all of the other things that *should* trigger people). The fact that people are gloming onto this and freaking out is really telling. Is the problem with the person who said it, with Drop because they made changes to a headphone that nobody other than a few lucky people have had the luck of trying, or are we really dealing with deep seated repressed oedipal complexes? I'm guessing the latter. Either way, this is where I get to shout "GET AWF MAH LAWN!" because I'm old enough to remember the internets before just anyone could get online with ease, and especially before everyone would latch onto something stupid and blow it out of size. P.S. I preordered my 8XX within the first 3 minutes that it was for sale. And you know what? I'm not flipping out over the changes, and I'm sure as hell not cancelling. It absolutely can't be any worse than the shit-show called the HD820 is.
