Incredible!!!
I went from a corsair h70 wireless headset to these and a gaming dac from creative. The difference is night and day. Although you need an Amp to drive these bad boys the fidelity and quality is amazing. I have a schiit hel coming for them in April so I can't wait to experience those. I cannot recommend these enough. The mic is clear and the 7.1 surround in the headphones is accurate.

phoenixsongThey dont have 7.1, he is getting that through the Creative gaming DAC he is using, a lot of creative sound cards and DAC's marketed for gaming have a 5.1 or 7.1 enhancement option for headphones, it can be quite useful for some games, can help with directional audio. Sometimes Creative just give you a slide bar labelled "surround" in their SBX Pro Studio settings section for their sound cards, Im not 100% sure but i think its either the same or similar to the 5.1 or 7.1 enhancement they offer on other devices, just adjustable, they also have an option called "scout mode" which helps make more distant sounds louder, I have never liked that feature as it messes up my perception of where things are, but once you got use to it i could see it being a competitive advantage. Also as a side note, i own a Sennheiser GSP 600 (same driver as the PC38X but closed back and a lot heavier), and i bought the Sennheiser GSX1000 usb DAC/Headphone Amp to go along with it, i also own a Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1, and a Sound Blaster X7 DAC/AMP, all 3 of these sound cards offer a "surround" setting, with the GSX offering 7.1, the Creative offerings through the "surround" slide bar, and for gaming i have to say the positional audio on the GSP 600's works better for me with the Creative options rather than the Sennheiser 7.1 implementation, also the 7.1 option absolutely destroys audio quality if you forget to turn it off when listening to music on the GSX1000 from Sennheiser while i find the "surround" slide bar tends to be less offensive if left on while listening to music. The GSX1000 does actually appear to your computer as being a 7.1 speaker for your headphones when set up for 7.1 surround on the headphones, so it does have the advantage of actually getting the game sending all 8 channels of directional audio to the sound card which is then converted into the drivers in your headphones, which "should" make it superior for positional audio than the way the creative sound cards i have do it, however it sometimes had the opposite effect and could make it harder to tell where things were coming from. Some of the other creative options do actually have an option that works the same way as the sennheiser option, which is probably what BlooDLusT312 is using, I haven't used my Omni for years now and i kinda have a feeling it might have worked the same way actually appearing as a 5.1 speaker set up when enabled.

WebbysaurusThanks for the write up, I shall take these points into consideration should I choose to try surround audio for headphones in gaming
