How about just offering a high-profile case upgrade for existing low-profile owners?

dumbcomputers@JaleesaG exactly what we need. I need a keyboard for work and carrying the low profile SHIFT 5 days a week in a travel case isn't safe for the board and its components. At least with the high profile case there will be a little more protection.

JackG02+1 to this. I have been doing this for a bit, but have lockable storage at two of my client offices (would thus be willing to buy 2 extras for those to avoid pack and carry as work would reimburse). Have been trying to find a QMK board with numpad, aluminum case, hot swap ideally for years now, jumped on Shift almost day 1, but really want high profile version. Have tried all sorts of other combos, but they all have issues, the shift is exactly what I want functionally, minus high profile and a silver aluminum option. The type c passthrough is a hugely useful plus. Would buy a silver hi pro case, plus 1 each of black and grey hi pro boards if they’d offer them. Tried the gk 73 and 21s as matching options, but they are kind of weird - for whatever reason they slow my computer and can’t help but wonder if they have some kind of integrated keylogger or some other tinfoil hat nonsense. Probably just something weird with bluetooth on the 21s. Either way, the 73s has weird spacing and odd cap requirements and I have realized as cool as it is to try different boards at different offices, better to have consistency so WPM doesn’t suffer. I’m at the point I’ve researched qmk full size pcb’s to replace the default in my ikbc mf108m, knowing there will almost certainly be some weird spacing incompatibility that causes it not to work (those boards have this wacko time countdown function built in that causes several keys to be useless, and you can’t reprogram the caps lock to shift+tab or any of the function keys to macros). Spoiler, nobody seems to want a full size custom. Maybe we can throw Drop a bakesale or something to get them to restart this one. If we ordered them now they might be ready by the time the godspeed SAs get to Drop...
