@Kevin if you can keep us updated on the new batch/es coming up that would be dope. I missed the extras sale by a few minutes and I legit check every day. These next 4 months are gonna be a long wait.

JayVee21I got mine last week. Waiting on some new keycaps and then I'm stuffing some Sorbothane in here. Hoping they get this added to QMK official soon, because I want MORE RGB EFFECTS

monkeywrightI was just going to ask if anyone has added sorbothane to their shift yet. I haven’t messed around with the stuff yet but it seems kinda expensive to do a lot of trial and error with. Have you nodded any other boards with it? Any tips?

CoachChuck59I modded my Alt with it. It doesn't require too much precision if you're not a perfectionist. You cut small strips to create a grid under the top, put the PCB back in, and place a few larger squares between the PCB and back of case. It actually works better with lots of small pieces instead of one giant sheet. I did the ALT in full with a 6x12 sheet and had some left over. I think the SHIFT will require the full sheet form the look of it. I wanted a black keyboard, so I'm waiting on some custom vinyl decals to come in and then I'll do the whole thing at once. REALLY hoping they update the lighting matrix on the SHIFT soon (or at least get it QMK-official)!

ampersandruNo, it was not a preorder. The order email/page said expected shipping date is AUG 2nd. Filed a claim with paypal and finally got an answer from Drop. They said my order was back ordered and for me to wait.. Paypal decided in my favor later that day and refunded my money. I wonder how long Drop was going to take to tell me this if I didn't file a claim? Paypal saved the day. Used that money on the Cyberboard.

CoachChuck59Use it sparingly. I cut little rails to go across the top plate between all the keys and then put 2-3 larger panels between the base and PCB. You don't need a large sheet to mod the SHIFT. I've modded 2 ALTs and SHIFT with sorbothane, and it made all the difference in the world getting rid of ping.

*Help* Screw in stabilizers not fitting in Dropshift V2 keyboard

I'm trying to build a mechanical keyboard with screw in stabilizers, I've build some mechanical keyboards with click-in stabilizers, never with screw in. Somehow one of the pins of the metal top-part collides with the screw in stabilizer of the numpad "enter key". I already tried grinding of a bit of the pin that collides with the stabilizer, but unfortunately I can't make it fit/close properly. You can see that the pin of the toppart leaves a mark on the bottompart of the stabilizer, see picture 2. What am I missing? Using Durock V2 in a Dropshift fullsize V2. See pictures below, thanks in advance!

Want to build a Clicky Mech Keyboard. Where to begin?

Hello all. Am brand new to the idea of building my own keyboard. Have not a clue where to begin this process. I am a Sim Game enthusiast. American Truck Sim, DCS Flight Sim and goes from there. Need some real help on where to start for making my own Full Size, Clickey Mechanical KB. I want each key to have its own backlighting. Are there keys that are better than others for this? Is there a great spot on site for a person who has never even taken a keyboard apart? Let alone fixed or built one? I would like it to fit my theme of Red and Black. Yet maybe have the option of changing things up a bit. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all kindly, Durazell

Currently my ALT v1 does not work with e-marked USB-C cables. I was wondering if the v2 PCBA does support these types of cables (thunderbolt 4 cable for example)?
