That magical, mysterious moment right before sunrise—or after sunset—never fails to amaze. Both beautiful and more than a bit inspirational, it has an undeniable energy that never lasts long enough Read More
I have had ESD issues with the first board I received and the second replacement now...something is wrong with grounding path/ PCB circuitry/ ESD protection (I can swap boards same day, same desk and not have this happen, removing the usb extension cable out of the loop, plugging directly into front panel you name it, second provided cable that came with 2nd board does not matter)..I sit down from my desk and the keyboard needs to be USB cable reset..3-5x times per my work day..I have to make a aluminum block grounding path so I can ground myself prior to typing..seems like something is inherently wrong if this is happening to 2x boards now..
Great color! I'd love to see this and the orange available on the aftermarket / upgrade cases.
So I know from the Sense75 materials that Drop knows folks have mixed feelings on visible RGB diffusers; any chance of a metal version of the plastic diffuser for the CTRL / ALT / SHIFT? They could be up-sell options for new boards, or accessories for ones people already have. I'd love to put something like that on my bronze CTRL, for example. Maybe even available in a few colors; I think this blue board for example would look amazing with an anodized teal stripe around it as opposed to the foggy plastic. Just a thought. :)
Nice so far. Bottom feels like it is missing something, what happened to the drop logos? alt-high..Feels like I bought a keyboard from a smaller geekhack group buy without the logos.
MechEngThe lack of logos on these boards was intentional, as they are hand-assembled in the USA and therefore have a more small-scale, non-corporate feel to them. We appreciate the feedback though, and I have already passed this along to our team for future releases.
Pretty swell. I don't know the actual position on "hot swappable" versus "My spacebar doesn't sit straight."
If you're capitalizing on the the "options", then pricing becomes less of a factor for a "window of time". Options include what everyone already knows. Lube. The "swappable".
In my books, there are a myriad of presentations that are desirable. While some of the others "beget" the question on value. "The fat lady sings." when a job is 100% done (over 90% or 85%) unless a "player" is pushed out.
This is a great looking board for this end of the colour spectrum.
