Mechcables Red Samurai Custom Coiled Aviator USB Cable
Very hefty, very comfortable to type on for long periods of time, and the keys/switches are not too loud. Overall a great purchase, hope it lasts for a long time because the only con I can think of was the price point with the custom cable I chose to get along with it from Space Cables. ($550 US total) for everything.
Thanks for the great keyboard.
This Keyboard looks great and has quite a large amount of heft in the build, It definitely will sit solidly wherever it may end up on my desk. The dual sided USB C connections makes finding room for all the junk on my desk easy!
Typing has been excellent, every keypress feels intentional and accurate.
The keycaps that arrived with the keyboard are very comfortable to type on and look bright and well printed.
Its not all good news though, on the keyboard that arrived, there is a 'ping' or resonance with every keypress and I can hear a faint metallic ringing which fades out very quickly. Its my hope some additional padding / sound material may help in my case, but that wont show up until Tuesday.
My second concern is several of the Keycaps on the Keyboard I received were missing a chunk from where it looks like the sprue was cut from the key during manufacturing. Most of the keys have a small chunk missing (Those of you who make model cars/ Gundam may be familiar with what happens when you trim too close).
Talk about taking a chance and rolling the dice. After what seemed like months of un-fun keyboard research (said research gets old in comparison to other parts) after buying the flagship Corsair, which just wasn’t for me, I went all out and purchased this solid beauty, expecting to either be “just okay” about my buying experience or worse, let down and out more time and dollars settling for a standard logi mx for creators - which is what my mind was begging me to do all along.
I must have had this thing in and out of my cart a dozen times over the course of a couple weeks or more before pulling the trigger; and I am glad I did.
Never typed on anything quite like it before. Didn’t know a keyboard of all things could have such a huge impact - like a Top Shelf GPU does for example.
The feel; the sounds, the weight; ease of use and hot-swap to top... it all off?! I’m just going to tell it to you like Ricky Bobby baby.
SHAKE & BAKE!
El Diablo (left hand) & Magic Man (right hand) both have yet, another good reason to fight for space and turns, and not another day taking issue with keyboard concerns!
Would I recommend this here keyboard to a friend?
Shoot... I would recommend this fine dime of desk space wine to anybody and everybody who speaks the language - including those who I wouldn’t recommend much to in the first place.
By far one of the best tech purchase experiences to date; and right out the first gate. Thank you Drop.com! Your emails can continue to take up residency in the box they land, and far away from their nemesis we like to call spam.
See ya again when my green backs need to spend.
