Say What? What aquatic theme? Seriously, I really, really, really want a purple ctrl. This is not a key set I would choose to put on it though. And we do not get the rest off the keycap set, right? bummer. And another question, please. Are the purple cases, the Sea Urchin, the Cyber Surge and the Laser Wave the same basic case - that is the same color - the same anodization? Or what? "Atop these high-performing components, our aquatic-themed GMK Hennessey Keycap adds welcome contrast with class-leading build quality."

They probably should have gone with GMK Belafonte caps instead. Belafonte and Hennessey are sister designs, both inspired by rival oceanographers from the movie The Life Aquatic. The Hennessey set is white minimalist, like Jeff Goldblum's character's clothing and ships. But taken out of that context, it's just a black on white base set with little to indicate its aquatic origins, unless you mix it with its novelty keys.
Ah, that makes (a little) sense now. Thank you. My wife is fond of saying, if we agree on everything, one of us is redundant. Or something like that. I would take the Hennessey set over the Belafonte, no contest. The colors on the Belafonte are *not* harmonious. I do not know what MITO was thinking. ;) Drop has a few other sets that clash horribly. Like the Fairline, the two blues are too close, like the reds on Iron Man. I am running on no sleep and I am not sure if I am making my point clearly. I hope so. Again, thanks for the enlightenment. Anyone know about the purples?

I don't see them mentioning the plate's material. Would anyone that has one be able to tell me what it is?

It's aluminum; it's integrated into the case body, so there isn't really a separate plate.
