There's a couple of really weird exclusions here, like the top row pg dn and end keys, 1u numpad 0 key, and 1.5u alt and fn needed for a drop shift keyboard and other 1800/96% layouts. It would really help broaden compatibility if there was support for the non-standard bottom row using 1.5 u ctrl and alt and 6u spacebar. There's not a lot of nice pbt backlit sets out there right now and adding that would give lots of people with other brands of gaming keyboard the opportunity to get a nice set. Add in 1u ctrl, alt, and fn keys for the 65%, 75%, and 1800 boards that use them and you'd also make this set work for a lot more people. I personally would really like to see pg up and pg dn in rows 2 and 3 respectively plus a row 4 end for the 65% right column that's common on non-drop boards. This isn't as important to me as the other things I mentioned but I think that is a much more commonly used layout if popular GMK sets are anything to go by. (row numbers assuming #1 is the number row and #4 is the shift row) Sweet sets though, I'm very interested to see where you can take them and I think it's great we are getting good pbt backlit sets lately. EDIT: Oh, also I think the kit image makes it a little tough to tell the row height of some of the keys. The 1.75u shift being shown next to enter is slightly misleading, but it took me quite a while to realize that the navigation keys shown above the numpad are for the alt right column and not for 1800 layouts. SECOND EDIT: I also didn't realize that the drop shift uses a 1u + key on the numpad, so that is missing here as well as the proper row "-" key to accompany it.

Lucas_JundtUnfortunately I purchased 2 of these sets for 2 DROP shifts before realizing several of the issues you pointed out.

EcchiWhaleGlad I could help then haha, set is well made and looks good but I'll stick with the stock caps until they bring out an adapted kit or add on.

Lucas_JundtTooling for the Skylight series does not include keys to support the SHIFT. We are looking to add support for the SHIFT.

Literally what I am saying here is that you should add that support for your own product. And support for other brands' layouts too so you get more people to buy

Hi do you have any estimation when we can expect implementation of SHIFT support?

Lucas_JundtYes, and we are literally working on it. Understand that this set uses existing tooling that did not have support for esoteric layouts of keyboard enthusiasts. @KGZR Sorry, no ETA that I can provide right now.

Sorry, but your comment came off as you thinking I was asking about a shift, which I wasn't. I'm glad that support is being added, though I do think it should have been added right away since the tooling has to exist now that the shift is sold. Please understand that my original comment transitions from shift support to suggestions for future additions after the first paragraph, with the most important one to me being the 6u spacebar bottom row. That layout is sold on many prebuilt keyboards far outside the custom community, such as some razer models, and it is very difficult to find aftermarket (i.e. high quality) keycaps for those.

Lucas_JundtWe'll look into adding additional support. No promises yet though.

Lucas_JundtSimilarly, I'd love to see modifier packs that included unlabeled or generically-labeled Windows keys. Some (many?) of us aren't OS exclusive.

So does this mean there's a chance that I could get a 1u ALT, FN, and CTRL keys for the Valiant colorway that I just purchased for my NK_65? Please!? It's perfect for my setup EXCEPT for these 3 keys.

Thanks for your detailed reply; I really appreciate your candor. From my business experience, if you have a product that is "already selling well" why wouldn't you capitalize on that and make it sell even better by adding compatibility? Less of "why fix what isn't broken" and more of "let's squeeze more out of what's doing well" - that to me would be true capitalistic gain. I understand there are additional costs so I can't knock it if the returns aren't justified - that makes absolute sense to me. Maybe the sales of the Skylight series is good but not good enough to justify the additional tooling. As I read through these comments though, it sounds like I'm not the only one expressing frustration about this "small" issue. Either way, thanks for the closure as I continue my search for the perfect keycaps. Push comes to shove, I may need to start my own business because the lack of keycap options that stick around is quite frustrating as a newcomer to the scene.

Glad to hear you won't have to give the BS "customer support" style replies anymore
