How practical is this knife for EDC? I’m a newbie to knives although I’ve been lurking for a while.

middlepathLooks pretty solid, trailing points like that can get a bit dramatic but this one is stylish and practical to my eye. The handle looks nice, micarta has a great feel to it, and the ergos appear good too. WE does a fantastic job at making knives, they are basically setting the build quality standard for $150-$300 knives at this point. The steel is great, not terribly interesting but I mean that in the best way. It's got very good corrosion resistance while still offering performance in line with other readily available midrange+ steels. Stainless used to be a more serious compromise before steels like S30V/S35VN became ubiquitous. If the shape of it speaks to you, I can't imagine you will be unhappy when you get it in hand.

middlepathIt's probably not the best shape if your daily uses are opening boxes. You'll need more point pointed downward(think of a razor blade). If cutting steak is your thing however, you'll love it.
