To start I got these keycaps on sale. Not sure if I would have paid the full price but they are definitely high quality premium keycaps and for the price I paid I'm more than satisfied.
In my short time with them I've typed, worked and played games on these keycaps and no complaints from me. The dwarvish legends look great. Although some people might find the keycaps quite busy visually since there is a lot going on, however personally I like it :) The middle earth themed packaging was also a nice touch :)
Hope to see some dwarvish themed artisan keycaps to complete my keyboard!
I am a fan of the LoTR and specially of the dwarves, so I did not think too much about it when Drop released a MT3 keyset, despite the kind-of-high price.
I regret NOTHING. about the money spent in these keycaps. The dye-sub legends on this set are great (they look better than other MT3 sets using the same technique). The colors are also great, they are between classic grey with a vintage touch. I'd say that the color accents are almost a must to tie everything together.
I recently purchased these keycaps along with the elvish set, and my reviews are about the same of all the LoR keycap sets. The packaging leaves much to be desired. Their all just set up in rows, and it's hard to tell which keycaps go in which row or to tell from a glace that you have all the keycaps, they just seem kind of thrown in there, for as much detail as they put into the outside of the box and the keycaps themselves, you'd think they would be better organized especially when other $30-$60 sets are individually spaced out in their packaging. That said, they keycaps themselves are great. I'm not a massive fan of the MT3 profile, but I'm willing to put up with it for the novelty. I just probably won't be using them 100% of the time.
