Wonderful tenkeyless with amazingly unique keycaps
This keyboard is a wonderful addition to any Tolkien fans collection. The keycaps are an amazing profile, they hug your fingers as you type in a way that is only truly understood when you experience it. the craftsmanship is exquisite, with the Doors of Durin etched above the arrow keys! The only complaint that I have is that the keyboard is not hotswap, but the Holy Panda switches are a wonderful style, so that complaint is minor at best.
The heavy body and feel of the keyboard go really well with Dwarvish. Have been using it for quite a while now and I still love it. Looking forward to the Rohan one too!
Nice on the eyes - subpar for the price and fingers
As advertised, honors the Dwarven-kin, but what you're getting is the novelty of the keycaps... Wish I made different choices.
Beware of additional fees when outside of the US.... added another $20+ to the cost.
The Good:
Tactile switches
The 'theme' of the keycaps
Slim case
The Meh' and bad:
Louder than it should be... and not in the good way.
Cheap feeling caps.
Premium for the licensing???
Not a pleasant experience
Could always mod - but given the soldered board and amount of effort to put in to it, there are better options.
Holy Panda X switches are my new favs. Keyboard has a heavy, solid case. Keys are perfectly tactile and clicky and form fit to my fingers. It looks amazing. I use it in my office and everyone always comments on it.
Fn key non existent.
it technically works and the modifier bindings are easy enough to remap but the rest of the keyboard is unusable. At that point I’d rather have just gotten a smaller keyboard.
cord is dumb. Weird a setup is advertised but no orange pigtail. Why not just go the small step forward.
The depth and sound of the switches are good! The keyboard design is a bit small but functional and easy to set up. The sound has become one of my favorite features of the keyboard. Now I get mad when I’m not using that particular work station. The key cap art work is amazing. The only gripe I have is the LEDs on the keyboard pretty much do not shine through the caps at all. Bummer!
