LulunaUnfortunately we pitched doing artisans in MT3 to our licensed keycap makers but they only have experience and molds in SA R1. Hopefully someday in the future we can see MT3 happen!
LulunaYeah this is a really shame that they weren't mt3, or the LotR Keycaps SA. I would have paired these in an instant, and I am planning on doing both the eleven and dwarf sets. Oh well, it will save me a few bucks till something else picks my eye up.
SA R1 vs MT3 R0.
The differences is very small. Granted Matt3o original designed of the MT3 was inspired by a desire to have a better SA, but optimized for 5-7 degree of typing angle.

LulunaJust piggybacking @SmolBrotato's comment in the Q&A section, the profile difference is so small. As a feature key like Esc, I don't see an issue! I ordered the forest version for the Elvish set personally. :)
BRENwasdI'm not sure a side profile comparison is the best way to compare. The scoop of MT3 is notably deeper than SA so its going to feel a lot different. Aesthetically. you can also see the difference when looking overhead. Due to the angle and the scoop, SA looks notably taller, despite the height difference being so small.
Personally, if I'm spending this much money on basically keyboard jewelry, I want it to match. It would bother me more than bring me any enjoyment.
I'm excited for the Elvish set :) The forest artisan definitely pairs well with it - if it was MT3, that is what I would have chosen as well!
dvorcolI was impatient Soni had a friend send me a top down. It's the top down differences exist. Such as SA has a larger surface area vs MT3. But its small especially on clear resin
F7-8 are MT3 R0
F9-10 are SA R1
