We noticed some customers are having trouble with the power button their THX AAA™ 789 amplifier. The key is that there is a protective circuit which has a power delay feature to protect against power spikes.
To power on or off the amplifier push the power button in, then release. It’s important to note that this power button is a momentary switch and it does not stay in when you push it. Also, the power button circuit has a lockout timer to ignore subsequent button pushes for several seconds which protects the amplifier startup and shutdown sequence, so you only need to press it once.
Happy to read that many are enjoying their amplifiers and we hope you are enjoying your favorite music all over again...thank you for being a part of this exciting launch and helping it happen!
My amp worked for like an hour out of the box. Now it’s just a red light when I power it on, no white light, no sound
Did you ever get this issue figured out? I have the same issue on my THX AAA 789. The standby light just stays red and there’s no audio.
I got the same issue. I just got my amp about a week ago.
