AkSp92I don't know, i agree it sucks they are punishing people who missed out on the drop which to be frank is the full 15,400 before they were warned about it. But at the same time if people need an Dac the Monoprice version is the best way to go now because its now justifiable cost wise. It really does open up more options while people wait E.g. Schiit Jot(b stock), nfb-1 (class a) are also in the "justifiable" price range now. I know some idiot will say but THX is lower ground noise e.t.c. ignoring the fact that the difference in explainable terms sounds large but in actualy audio listening is Very Small. Honestly i'd of done the same thing raising the price even without a reason, 770k is a lot of money & those $200 Ebay mark ups makes the resellers a lot of money.

DamienRThe Monoprice implementation has issues and performs substantially worse, objectively and subjectively. You are much better off getting the 789 and a Khadas Tone Board than that all-in-one unit from them.

DamienRYour grammar speaks loudly enough to show you are frustratedly misinformed. I have read thoroughly enough on Head-Fi, Audio Science Review and elsewhere and experienced personally in real life to know what you are saying is gibberish and an emotional outburst. Compared to the entire pantheon of top-shelf headphone amplifiers, the THX 789 is more than worth it.

DamienRAs an objectivist from a young and tender age who thoroughly examines data for scientific applications, I would be the last to have been believing in Santa like that. The fact you are replying here demonstrates you are actually interested in this product and you are the one trying to hold onto your Santa-like beliefs to ignore these hard facts. AkSp92Could have jumped also 100 bucks more and they will all be sold out in a heartbeat. Just the amount of people that wants it is very high compared to how many they can actually deliver so I guess 50USD increase it is very reasonable.
