Very, very reference.
I like the amp very much but genuinely believe that it may well be a little too clean for me. Nonetheless enjoying it. No issues build wise either.

ApneanI have a preamp with an opamp socket - I use the Burson V6 opamps for either a neutral or warm presentation. Using the 'Warm' (just a slight warm tilt) opamp now to the 789 and my old Grado headphones :)
Might be worth it if you get sick of the clean 789 sound. You can always switch back to a clean sound just by changing opamp
