I bought the THX AAA ONE and the Sennheiser TRRS 2.5mm headphone cable in the related installation for the HD 6XX. When the shipment arrived at my house, I found out that I couldn't connect a TRRS 2.5mm headphone cable to my THX AAA ONE amplifier.
Please let me know if there is a way to connect a Sennheiser TRRS 2.5mm cable to a THX AAA ONE amplifier.

Can it be used as a preamp and take as input a phono signal? The output of the THX AAA One will then feed into a power amp. Will this configuration work?

If "phono signal" means the output of a phono preamp, this will work.
The raw output of a turntable without a built-in phono preamp will not work. It must be amplified and equalized by a phono preamp before taken as the input to THX AAA One.
