Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. - The 789 looks so much nicer.
- Sp200’s volume pot issues.
- Some people saying the sp200 is harsher, even on this thread.
- Only 2 gain options on the Sp200 (not that I’m driving super sensitive IEM right now).
- preamp options on the 789.
- The biggest draw to the sp200 is how much power it pushes out of SE. I won’t ever need to get extra balanced cables for headphones in this case. (Money saved).
I’ve been waiting to get a dac/amp for 6+ years now and spent so much time researching so really don’t want to get something and not think twice again. Trying not to over thing it either :-) There are a bunch of people on this thread that have said they returned the SP200 as well. Are any of the things I’ve said above things to be concerned about if this is the only amp I will ever have? Nothing fancy but I have the following headphones and one that I want to get next for reference. Final Audio E3000 1more Triple Driver ATH-M50x HD650 T51i Koss KPH30i Hifiman Sundra (Next Purchase)
