ThangfishWhat? So they only put lead in the headphones they send to California? That makes no sense. Why would they make a different set of headphones for California only.
bnorgdLots of stuff you buy or own would apply to this warning, California just requires it be listed. The amount chemicals for the warning is quite low. If this warning scares or worries you then you have a lot electronics to worry about.
bnorgdNo no… I didn't mean that they make a different set for California.
Only that these innocuous ingredients are only a hazard to you if you are living in California.
Don't ask me why that is.
Maybe try asking the ones that have decreed it so.
bnorgdCali resident here, we have a law where this warning is applied to any product with a certain amount of lead or other stuff in it that according to lawmakers causes cancer. The issue is this warning is on literally everything to the point where no one here takes it seriously. This warning can be found on lays potato chips, car parts, and everything in between. If you live in California you'll know this label is essentially meaningless.
MalwaresoftThe meaningless part is that they chose to make it a mandatory warning, instead of an outright ban. A ban would’ve forced manufacturers to produce their products without lead. Horrible that you find it in chips as well, and worse that you have no alternatives without it.
bnorgdso let me try to explain it to you so you understand. California pass a law that if there a chance that something may cause you cancer than you have to put a warning on it. The problem is they never set a percentage, for example eating an apple has less than a .000001% of causing cancer but since there is still a chance of getting cancer you have to put a sticker on it. This made the warning pointless because everything even the air you breath have a chance of causing cancer.
I was wondering the same thing. I just got the HD58X and added the 2.5 balanced cable. I'd love to hear a song recommendation where I can hear the difference. I am listening to TIDAL HiFi and have the Fiiio BTR5 DAC/AMP with the 2.5 balanced jack. So far I haven't been able to tell the difference.
What cable or splitter would I need to get for the HD 6XX in order to utilize the 2 separate Left and Right balanced output jacks of my Scarlett 2i2? The balanced cable recommended here seems to only have a single jack plug, and Google isn't being very friendly.
The Left-Right balanced outputs on audio interfaces is for speakers called studio monitors. They're not for headphones even though they use the same size plug.
