Is $50 really the going price for a balanced cable? That's 1/3 what I paid for the 58X headphones.

Agree. That should cost $25 tops. It will probably not change the sound of your 58X. It will just make it (even) louder.

What is the difference between this one and the one off of the Sennheiser website for $10? Total noob here, don't flame me. <3

This cable has a smaller connector that wont fit regular headphone jacks. This is a balanced cable and the other cable is single ended, this jack is also smaller 2.5 than the common 3.5. The other cable has a jack with 3 poles where the left and right channel have their own contact while both grounds are joined and use the 3rd contact. This cable has a jack with 4 poles were every wire has its own contact. If you have the proper set up you can separate the left from right channel completely, giving you better sound. If you own a portable DAC\AMP with this connection available such as the fiio Q1 Mk2, it will give you more than twice the power and more detailed sound. This cable won't connect to AirPods, noob..... Boom Roasted!

Really? Was it black black? I've heard that the HD6xx's Navy Blue looks near black.

You are right. When examining it closely at sunlight they are blue.. However it's hard to notice, normally I'd say it's black.

Hello: is there this same cable with balanced output of diameter 4.4 pentacon?. If it does not exist, can it be manufactured? Thank you.

i was looking on ebay for some connectors and saw that you can buy 2.5 to 4.4 balanced adapters for around $20. Or buy the complete cable by searching "4.4 balanced cable sennheiser" The difference between 2.5 and 4.4 is only plug size.

Or just buy the official HD650 cable for $10 from Sennheiser. They also have free shipping.

Hopefully Drop revisits the price on this. It doesn't seem to be selling too well, which will ultimately be better feedback than any of our complaining.

just cut your original cable at about 3-4 feet. Buy neutrik XLR and solder it all together... it will cost u $5 + time u spend on cutting and soldering... and u will have another 10f of the cable to use it elswhere :)))

There is nothing mentioned about the most important part of this cable, the conductors.
