How is the audio latency when watching videos or playing games when using the build-in panda mics?

Ok I don’t have any idea what the mics have to do with watching videos since all your doing is watching.
  • I have my #DropPandaTHX Headphones extensively to watch YouTube as well as movies and have had ZERO latency issues. On top of that I have found the experience, especially when watching movies completely immersive. I recently watched the movie HEAT (Robert DeNiro/Al Pacino) and it was an out of this world experience. It was like you were right in the room with the actors. You could hear every single sound even in the background. Door handles turning, keys rattling breathing, voices in the bar etc. Highly recommend.
  • I have used them literally on hundreds on video calls and chats with both the Boom Mic in and also on Bluetooth with no Boom Mic using just the built in mics, according to the people on the other end the call quality has been exceptionally clear. NO latency issues what so ever
  • Now as far as communicating with others while in a gaming experience goes I cannot answer to that as I’ve not done anything like that with them. I would assume that hearing the game etcetera would be excellent but I honestly don’t know.
I do have a few very close friends who are YouTube tech reviewers and they actually joined together and bought these for me as a gift. I am dying from terminal cancer and part of that fight is that I’m losing my eyesight and they wanted me to hear music and other entertainment type sounds the way they should be heard, as natural as possible. All 3 of them have clearly stated on their channels that they are some of the best Bluetooth headphones they have ever used (2 of the three also own the new AirPods Max Headphones and both prefer the #DropPandaTHX Headphones). One of them uses the #DropPandaTHX headphones extensively in friendly gaming competitions with other friends from all over the world and absolutely loves them for that. He has said he experiences zero latency. I will say this ... I would highly recommend the Boom Mic as a got to have accessory especially if your going to be gaming with others. I hope this helps in some way ... bottom line for me and in my opinion... I love the #DropPandaTHX headphones, by far the best headphones I have ever owned. iAmBoomerStrong 🎧

Any possibility of adding noise-canceling via a software update? $400 for headphones without that feature seems like a mistake.

Noise cancelling has to be built into a pair of headphones, considering it takes an incredible amount of tuning, software and physical microphones. Just know that the amp and dac baked in mean that they’re the best sounding pair of true wireless headphones on the market.
Not possible and ANC requires DSP (Digital Signal Processing)... one of the selling points of this headphone is the lack of forced DSP. If you need ANC there are a ton of existing options out there, I use a Sony pair myself.

It`s not a mistake. The whole point of the Panda is to give the best unaltered sound quality. ANC would altered the sound. I think if it`s 400 USD is because the implementation of the THX AAA AMP, an AMP that is achromatic meaning it does not change the sound, just make it louder...

I can totally relate to that mindset. But I would understand it if they were to increase the price for ANC. I don't use ANC actively with my headphones. But when I am on a train or plane, I value ANC a lot. I couldn't even listen to the audiophile quality music with the background noise of a plane. So no point in buying these for me.

it's not a mistake, Headphones are meant for music listening and not noise cancelling, if you want to cancel noise use earbuds.
How do these compare to Beats?

Its like going to the store to buy Filet Mignon and coming home with liver. . Like comparing Grapes to raisins, yes they are the same thing but really . . NOT One is the best in its class VS one that doesn’t even have class. I will say this tho . . . If you are a “I love to feel the bass pounding in my chest” type of listener, the Drop+THX 🐼🐼’s are not for you (just my opinion). These are meant for those who want to hear music the way it is meant to be heard, hearing every note, every tone on a nice clear, open, bright soundstage. NOW . . with the upcoming firmware changes and app release you’ll be able to fine tune these headphones perfectly for YOUR ears and what YOU like to hear come from the headphones, just remember that they are planar - ribbon driver magnetic headphones and really have nothing at all in common with any of the Beats Headphones lineup OR the New Apple AirPods Max. They are all very deep bass, warmer sounding devices. Some highly rated tech reviewers have have clearly said . . “Plain and simple, the Drop+THX 🐼🐼’s are the best Bluetooth/Wireless headphones in the world . . . period!” (drops the mic and walks away 🤪). Hope this helps. Boomer 🎧🐼

It looks like you can add both to cart, and then remove the Panda while keeping the Boom Mic.

Can you pair these with multiple devices?

Yes. . You absolutely can. I have them hooked up via Bluetooth to my iPhone, iPad and RokuSmartTv ... it’s seamless. If I’m using my iPad and my phone rings it will automatically pic up the call from the phone and turn off the music on the iPad. They are all hooked up at the same time. I can type a message via email on my iPad and stop to answer a text on my phone at almost sumultaneously and can hear the typing noise thru the headphones on each device. Hope this helps. Boomer🎗
