So... How much? Any reason why I should get this instead of Sony?

ridhuankimThe only current reason would be the THX AAA™ technology but, in my mind, even that may be suspect from an efficiency standpoint. Can this technology be implemented while providing a reasonable amount of battery life? Based on the battery performance of the portable headphone amplifier by Monoprice, it's a big question mark. That unit has a 4000MaH battery & the 10 or so hours it provides is not going to cut it in a wireless headphone. To be honest, the more time that passes, the more my interest in this product wanes. I've been rethinking things & I now feel that buying a quality headphone designed for portable use & providing it with a portable bt receiver that can be clipped to the headphone just might be a better option. It makes the headphone obsolete proof & would only require the replacement of the receiver as technology improves. A bt receiver is also transferable to any iem or headphone. Having a separate bt receiver just makes sense to me...…. If the new Sony's come out before these, it might make sense to get them. Right now, these are kind of open ended. No price...… No timetable..... No specs...… No visual renderings..... No guarantee that they will be sota when released..... I will say that I'm pretty happy with the sonic aspects of my XM3's. I do have some minor quibbles with them operationally, but most of them are software related issues that can be easily corrected. FTR, I've owned 4 bt over ear headphones over the years, 3 of which I still own. (One was given to a family member) I can't say that I've been disappointed with any of them as I understand them all. I will also say that I have a love/hate relationship with noise cancelling.

MaverickAHExactly what I am thinking. I loved my qc25 and I bought a second hand few days ago. It's portable and use AAA batteries(not AAA technology but I dig it) and has solid ANC and it sounds pretty good. I can make it semi-wireless using Fiio BTR3. I use Fiio BTR3 with my IEMs and they are just fine.
