View Full Discussion Ok, many answers about features but... what about the sound? Are they mean to be linear, analytical sounding or they are musical, fun and bassy, quite like PM3 was + more hights as you mentioned @Will ? What was the goal of tuning? What they close to in terms of sound signature from the existing headphones on the market? Thanks!
We'll post measurements soon, but we started with the PM-3 as a base. We made the bass a little tighter at the bottom, kept it mostly neutral through the mids, and increased the treble slightly over the PM-3 because folks consistently complained about it being too dark.
Yeah I dont really trust measurements... so its basically PM3 with better treble. Hope you dont touch mids because it was awesome on oppos already.
If the measuring rig and procedure are consistent in both tests in the comparison, then it is an excellent indicator of character since the only variable to change would be the HPs. Afterwards, it would be your own ears and pinna that would effect your perception and ultimately, purchase. For me and countless others, measurements are a valuable tool when used in context.
