Now, apologies if this has already been asked, but is wired mode with the built in electronics enabled, or not? From the description, it seems like the implication is that with no built in DSP, that it'll sound the same run wired or wirelessly with electronics enabled or disabled. Because the Sony X, Xm2, and Xm3 variants all had some pretty large sound differences between wired and wireless, and even some other headphones, like the 1More Spearhead, run USB vs Aux sounded majorly different. I don't think 1More mentioned a DSP on the USB input either, but I hated that it sounded that much different. If the case with these is that they're good headphones first, with an exceptional dac/amp stage (as appears to be the case) then that's a really great proposition.

TaylorDPlugging in the wire will bypass all the electronics in the system and turn off the headphones if they were powered on. This does allow the headphones to change their character when using them with a variety of headphone amps.

NWLierlyThe THX Amp is really nice. My favorite headphone from Drop so far, is the Elex. The 789 being my main headphone amp, and the Elex being my main open back. I ended up giving my 6XX to my step father, but I still have an HD 600 for reference. I have enough stuff that I feel like I can stop buying stuff for upgrades for a while... Like, I have a pair of the Sony Xm2, and Galaxy Buds for travel... Plus a TR-X00 Ebony for home listening. I absolutely don't need these headphones... But i do want them a lot because new things and cool tech lol
