My Panda's arrived today via FedEx! Ordered on January 24 on Drop. SN #173. Connected to iPhone via BT. QUICK Initial Impressions

TLDR: Sound quality DESTROYS the Sony 1000M3 and the Sennheiser PXC550's while being more comfortable! Build: Headphones feel sturdy despite being made of plastic. Top cushion and ear pads are leatherette and molded perfectly with my head shape. Putting on the headphones for the first time did produce a "click/creak" sound which scared me a bit, but it doesn't seem like these will break easily. I haven't head that clicking sound since. Comfort: They're also fairly comfortable and don't clamp down on the side of my head. My head is pretty wide and the HD600/HD660s clamp force bothered me, these don't. Top cushion is nice and squishy, but needs a little more padding to feel more "invisible" while sitting on my head. Adjusting is easy and each setting clicked strongly so these won't adjust themselves while in use. You'll have to adjust these before use, you cant put them on your head and pull the earcups down. One downside is that my head feels warmer and removing the headphones produced drips of sweat. Not a big deal IMO. Controls: The 5 way joystick works well. Easy to use, responsive, not much else to say. Sound: Songs used: Hotel California by The Eagles, In Your Eyes by The Weeknd, Psycho by Post Malone, and Element by Kendrick Lamar. Compared to my Sennheiser HD660s, THX AAA789, and Airist R-2R setup, these have VERY clean sound. Bass is strong but not overwhelming or boomy, mids are clear, treble is crisp but don't reach towards the unbearable side. While they're closed back, they don't sound like they're "in my head". Space sounds in between an open back and closed back headset... weird to describe. Also, the passive isolation is really good. I can still hear things around me when not playing anything but it's MASSIVELY dampened. Compared to the Sony 1000XM3 and Sennheiser PXC550, these are the better sounding headphones by a long shot. Sound is more balanced, clearer, and doesn't have that ANC sound signature at all. Conclusion: These will be my new daily's for mobile use. All I'm missing now is the boom mic purchased through IGG and also my Drop stickers that never came with the package...

JReyFirst & foremost, you forgot the most important thing: #236 for me! ;) Other than that, you're pretty much spot on although "Destroys" is not a word that I would use. I won't dare to give a review yet other to say that my unit is functioning perfectly. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that the headphone volume & phone volume don't operate independently. I personally prefer it when they do. Once you pull the package out of the very substantial cardboard box they're mailed in (BTW..... Thanks for that!), everything is black until you get to the reading material. In fact, these things should've been named, "Black Ops" or "MIB" (for "Men In Black"). I also wish that there was a way to gage battery life. Hopefully this will be addressed in the app. When will this app be available? I think that I'm going to love that people are going to think that I'm listening to so cheap no-named knock offs when I have these on! The poor unknowing fools! I also did not get any decals, not that I really care. I wouldn't have been using them anyway.

MaverickAHI added my SN and also changed my previous post into a "first impressions" since I realize that's more of what it is than a real review. I don't plan to make a full in depth review because I'm not at that level (yet) in describing what I hear in an unbiased way. Anyway, I agree that "Destroys" is a pretty strong term but I still stand by it. I used the PXC550 and 1000XM3 since they launched and they never sounded as good as I expected them to sound in comparison to my desktop setup. With the Pandas, it was a night and day difference for me and it's probably the closest to sounding as good as a separate DAC>Amp>HP setup.

MaverickAHIndependent volume on headset vs phone is a BT setting on the phone side. Since 4.0 the default has been sync, but on android you can change this by enabling developer settings and going into the advanced bt menu. I don't think you can change this setting on an iphone but I don't have one handy to check

WillThanks for the quick response! I did not know any of this! I am using an iPhone 11 Pro. I will check to see if there are any internal settings. I don't think that there are any.
