are they really planning to make these more expensive than $400 once they’re officially launched?

ddddsI doubt that given there is plenty of competition with more features on horizon i.e. XM4. Also, reading through the comments/review people are complaining about hissing and other audio/Bluetooth issues along discomfort over long hours of use therefore I struggle to understand how can they sell over the current asking price. I guess when more reviews are out over long hours of listening we'll find out the truth.

ddddsPretty sure this is the retail price. They were more expensive during their funding phase for the opportunity to get them early.
dddds$399 is the final retail price

WillAny love for overseas buyers? We have to shed money on VAT / Duty and delivery plus that $399 seems high. Why not sell it for $299 I am sure you'll have the business with higher volume moved. I'll even buy two.
(Edited)
iWasimAbbasNo can do, costs too much to make. We'll have distributors eventually, for now, you and everyone else will have to import directly.

WillNo worries, good luck with your business and I even hope one day you'll be able to give the Audiophile world a Version 2 with ANC perhaps.

iWasimAbbasI haven't heard them yet but I would rather have headphones with good isolation than headphones with ANC. I'm using my Senheiser PXC550 atm. but that's more because there wasn't really a good alternative at the time. If they would isolate well enough I would prefer to use them without ANC because they can get very annoying when it's windy or some loud noise appears which isn't in their filtered range.

NebucatnetzerAgreed but I hope one day the great minds at Drop and THX will breakthrough the limits of physics and bring lowest noise floor possible with their ANC version. About a decade ago Sony said that the limitation of physics won't allow wireless ANC but here we are with XM4s now. Upwards and Forwards :)
iWasimAbbasYea that is the opposite of how ANC works, it necessarily creates a noise floor and introduces inverse sine distortion to block undesirable frequencies. Noise floor on a wireless ANC headphone will always be louder than a conventional wireless headphone.

WillThe noise floor on my Panda's isn't silent, particularly in the left cup. There is obvious whine/static with a bleep sound just before the song starts to play in the left cup. A silent noise floor was one of my main reasons for picking these up.
SheepheadYou're hearing the amp power on, after the 30 second warmup period (inherent to AAA) there should be no noise-floor while audio is playing. If you stop the music, amp goes to sleep after a while and you'll hear sound then as well.

WillAs others have reported it doesn't disappear after 30 seconds.
SheepheadIf you hear noise after 30 seconds and it modulates with volume (gets louder or quieter as you go up or down) your Panda is not performing to spec and you should reach out to support to get in the queue for replacements. We've had about 10 ppl reach out about this issue so far, replacements will be available when the rest of stock comes.

WillThanks for your reply, I have reached out to support but have only had one reply which took nearly a week and only asked if the issue is present with 3.5mm cable connected which doesn't seem particularly relevant to my issue. Hopefully I'll hear more next week. Disappointed so far.
