A bit silly to advertise this product for sale on a Linus Tech Tips video when in all likelyhood the date provided to a purchaser of the headphone now is going to be delayed. I didn't buy mine because of this, I've been waiting for a few months and have a shipping date of the end of September, and reports of failures with the hissing problem and the inevitable delay I face are making me consider returning the headphone. I don't like this move by either Drop or Linus Tech Tips because I feel like if you advertise a product it should be relatively available for sale. I realise the Drop headphone is an attractive headphone but it's bad business sense to market something you haven't even shipped to customers who've ordered it.

bradnzYeah, I think I saw the same ad spot and thought it was pretty misleading. Chances are that these sorts of deals were made long in advance, maybe money already exchanged hands, who knows. Not that it absolves them, but the last time someone thought of this might have been months ago. At this point, I believe they should shut down orders, or at least list their delivery as TBD, since there literally is no estimate as of today for new orders, and any new estimates should be taken with a grain of salt. Frankly, I'd be surprised if "August" orders shipped before October, and there will in all likelihood be more covid outbreaks affecting the manufacturing pipeline.

bradnzIn January it was hard to know that there would be a global pandemic. The production delays are mostly because of this. But I completely agree with you that the shipping date for new orders should be changed to TBD.

GrischuGI think we might be talking about two different things. LTT put up a video in January about the panda. They've also put up a video in the past week where their sponsor spot was the panda. It's the latter we're talking about.

bradnzThis is literally the first thing I've backed on Drop. Not a good experience so far.

MrCatsoup"I don't CARE that we're in the middle of a global pandemic, I want my thing NOW!". I get that it might be frustrating that delays have soured your first experience with Drop, but consider the impact COVID has had on their supply chain, much of which they have zero control over. Cut them some slack, dude.

kdambayHere here to that, I'm desperately waiting for my pandas to finally ship but untold amounts of people have died with covid 19, and worrying and complaining about a pair of headphones just pales into insignificance in comparison
