Hey everybody! I have a question about this thing. So while I am STILL WAITING FOR THE SHIPMENT FFS could anybody tell me please if they are going to be an upgrade from my Sennheiser RS 185 RF? I afraid they can end up being not just a lateral move but straight up a downgrade. Here are some facts and concerns: 1 - I am not going to use them with anything but my PC 2 - Pandas seem to be not as comfortable 3 - I prefer open back headphones but it is not a dealbraker 4 - I game a lot and never had any latency issues with RS 185 RF how about pandass? 5 - I don't even know if they sound any better than my sennheisers. Thank you for your time!

Pennywise359I don't have my Panda headphones yet but I'm coming from the RS 165 and can make some educated guesses. The Panda's are twice as heavy as the RS 185 so I think that will impact comfort. Panda is closed back compared to open back on the RS 185 so the Panda soundstage is going to be narrower but probably have clearer bass. Sennheiser uses their own wireless protocol which is pretty low latency (internet says it's ~50ms). At the moment, Panda will be worse. The normal Bluetooth protocols have a lot of latency, 200+ ms so you need to use a special low latency transmitter but that is a mess right now on the Panda. The current firmware only supports aptX Adaptive which is ~50 to 80ms which was designed to replace aptX-LL but I haven't found any transmitters that transmit it. Still too new. I would love for Drop to make one. @Will has stated that Qualcomm's preproduction SDK supported the older aptX Low Latency (~40ms) for the new Bluetooth chip they chose but Qualcomm took it out of the final version. That's why some Panda reviewers said aptX-LL was working for them. Will shared he was hopeful that aptX-LL would be included in a future Qualcomm SDK so they could include it in their firmware, but that it wasn't sure thing and would refund people if LL was deal breaker. Unless you are ok using them wired using USB-C, I'm really not confident the Panda's will meet your wishes at this time.

ArchiCrocThanks for response! Looks like I am stuck with my RS185 for while which is actually not a bad thing.
