Getting a lot of super loud pooping noises, seems to happen when they are idle. It's loud like scary something is wrong with these, I might hurt my ear if this happens with them on.
What's the deal?
I thought so as well. Honestly thought the THX AAA would do something to prevent noise floor, but what youre hearing is typical of Bluetooth headphones. Noise floor is the sound of the hissing, popping, whining from all the circuitry being so close to each other. I believe it likely has something to do with the DAC implementation inside as well. For $400 tbh you would expect a the circuitry to be a tad more isolated though, this is far more noise floor than even the XM4's. I expected the THX AAA amps to do a better job at reducing it though because that was what the technology was built to prevent.
its beyond floor noise, the pops are so loud if you have the headsets on, it hurts your ears, and sometimes goes off for a minute or so, its like something is bugging out and power is being leaked to the speakers or something. It's super bad and very concerning.
I Love the way these headsets sound, but if the popping keeps going they are going in the trash because I don't want to damage my ears due to bad circuitry.
Are you using an EQ in your source? I had clipping for whatever reason when I used it w/ Wavelet. Switched over to Neutralizer and SoundID and didnt have the same issue for whatever reason.
I have them connected to a Fiio BTA30 in TX mode connected to my PC in USB C. I see that they can't support LDAC in USB mode, but the lite was white the first 2 days, then wouldn't go back into ldac mode on the PC. These things are super finicky tbh. I am waiting on a optical cable to connect this via optical to my SB G5 so we'll see how that goes. No EQ set by me.
