Has the issue of auto shut-off after 15-20 minutes when in headset mode been solved?
I see that mentioned a lot in reviews, and I intend to use this headset for long calls.
Can the auto shut-off setting be turned off?
Nope, seems to be a bug thats *hopefully* going to be fixed by the elusive app Drop hasn't talked about in weeks. I'd hold off until its here
They're great when they work but they often don't
I use my headphones on Bluetooth both with and without the Boom mic for numerous phone calls a day on my iPad or iPhone 11 Pro Max and the DROP PANDA+THX Headphones have never dropped or cut off a call. Most of my video chat / phone calls are all 45 minutes to 2 hours and have had no issues at all.
Good to know, thanks! However, what I mentioned might be a Windows issue. I'm getting mine next week, so I'll be sure when I try them out. I plan to use them for long video calls as well.
Also, are using the boom mic while using Bluetooth? I read that connecting the boom mic forces wired use and kills Bluetooth.
Unfortunately, that’s correct. Once you plug the Boom Mic into the headphone jack, it literally turns the headphones off until it is plugged into a source (ie: phone, laptop, tablet, office phone system etc), for use.
Hope this helps, I went thru the same thing a couple of weeks ago and was disappointed to learn this. I did a bunch of checking and found out it’s not unusual for this to happen as it’s rare that plug in independent Boom Mic’s work wirelessly.
Hello, I just got mine from Amazon, and they do shut off after 15 minutes when on calls. In order to use the microphone, they have to be used as “hands-free AG Audio” in Windows settings. Is this correct? Have you found a workaround for this?
Can you confirm yours do not shut off after 15 minute son calls?
Thanks in advance!
@dodsferd . . I have never used my headphones with or without the boom mic with a computer or laptop. It has always been with my iPad or iPhone and it has never shut off at any point regardless of how long I’ve been on. Almost all my calls/video chats/conference calls are 40+ minutes. Maybe it’s a laptop or hard drive setting/issue.
Also the Boom mic cannot be used wirelessly no matter what you are using it with. Once the boom mic is plugged into the left headphone it completely shuts the headphones off until they are plugged into the source you are using them with (ie: laptop, cellphone, tablet etc). Hope this helps.

Thanks, this helps. This is definitely a Windows 10 issue. I hope I find a workaround for this, I'm really liking them, but I'll have to return if I can't use for calls. Have a great day!
