zinkusI'm just assuming a higher S/N could mean later production, thus some known quality issues might be corrected? I have no way to back this up, just guessing.
dodsferdI just tried googling about this, so found an earlier discussion about driver manufacturer change at about 1000 unit mark, but I guess all units are now far from that. I was really hesitant to buy due to QC issues in this discussion site, until I found an unused unit in EU, so I went for it - none of the problems that would negatively affect listening experience. Sounds amazing (when applied Oratory EQ to flat out the curve).
But I'm now curious about my S/N and cannot seem to find it.. lol
dodsferdSo I went ahead and ordered through amazon.
They arrived with the retail packaging just kinda thrown into a much bigger box with no kind of padding materials in said bigger box.
The model is the older 33343-1 variant, I think it's the headband padding change, don't know for sure.
So far though, I like them.
They have one odd thing about them, don't know if it's my hearing or the tracks specifically, but the bass seems to slam a tad more on the left side vs right.
like kickdrums/bass hits just seem louder/more emphasized on the left.
alecspark9835I also ordered from Amazon and got them literally minutes ago. Exact same packaging you described. Also 33343-1 variant. Not sure which padding is this, but I don't love it so far. Right now I'm trying to figure out why Windows volume control does not work. I can only control volume from the headset.
dodsferdReally?
For me, windows volume control works fine, I selected Pandas in the speaker select thing in the taskbar, right clicked it to go to sounds, enhancements, disable all, and then I can control from either the headset (didn't know this, thank you!) Or from windows
