This is a picture of app icon on iOS which you can pre-download BUT the ‘s are not on there as of yet so all you’re doing is preparing for the launch. That way you are ready to go when they update it for use with the THX🐼🐼’s. Remember it’s going to be a 2 stage process. K ok e is plugging in the headphones to your PC for a special windows type download update then all further updates/firmware changes will be done over the air.
For a first run through I am impressed, the tests are every bit as annoying as A/B tests tend to be but if this is the company that they are working with for their version of the app, I am excited. Despite how bad I felt I was doing in comparing the options it came out with a profile that sounds good and likely matches with some damage my left ear took (always make sure someone hasn't adjusted your gain settings before turning on a PA system folks, feedback is a killer).
Hi ... so did you do a SOUNDiD test with the pandas? If so, how did you do this.... was it on a PC, an android or IOS phone or???? (Next time I will read before pressing submit, sorry for the horrid spelling mistakes ... spell check 🤦🏻♂️)
Yeah this is with the Pandas, from an Android phone. Being able to take the profile from device to device is cool, especially if they manage to include separate channel profiles.
Ok . . I am on IOS (iPhone 11 Pro Max) and as of right now, the app does not show the DropPandasTHX as an available device on the SoundiD app? I constantly check the SoundiD app for updates and still none available and as of 2 minutes ago Drop Or DropPandas or Pandas are NO WHERE listed as a device to do the test. Are Drop Pandas actually showing as a device on your Android app? Of course I’ve been trying by Bluetooth but at the very least SoundiD still doesn’t list the Pandas.
Now as I understand it that's the thing they're waiting on as well as the ability to install the profile on pandas themselves. I used the oppo pm3.
Ahhhh ok. . . Thank you, that helps to answer some questions. Thank you a bunch fellow Panda Owner. I am assuming that the Oppo PM3 headphones have Planar Magnetic drivers so are pretty similar to the 🐼🐼’s. Did it make a substantial difference in bringing the 🐼🐼’s closer to your preferred sound signature and did it change the bass level at all?
They are where the drivers for the Panda came from.
Still too early in testing to tell if it is what I want in a final profile, but yes the ball can be ramped up significantly
Excellent. . . . Again, thank you for your help. I’ll wait to see what the next couple of days bring but I’m happy to see there is an option out there. @Will will probably show his face tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. His usually late is better than never self . .
