Dear @Will , My headphones were functioning correctly for the past 3-4 months (apart from windows bluetooth connectivity, which did not work at all) and I really enjoy the soundsignature they have. Today however I started having problems. I was listening to music on Spotify via my phone using LDAC. At first the song suddenly sounded as if I was listening to a badly tuned radio, with lots of noise leaking through the music. After a while the audio sounded normal again, but sped up, as if it was trying to get back in sync. I had never experienced this issue before. My first guess was that it had something to do with the bluetooth connection. Perhaps there was just some interference messing with the signal. But the issue has persisted for the rest of today. My headphones also started powering off at random now. Not turning on when I hold the power button, although the LED indicator does turn on briefly (sometimes flashing blue as well). Noteworthy is that I have not yet tried to update the firmware/software of my Panda's.

LividmatterI just tried to update the firmware of the Panda's; I think they are now bricked. The updater started downloading the latest version to my headphones, but it was interrupted for some unknown reason. It showed an error. But the error dissapeared before I could even start to read it. Now windows says it cannot recognise the device... I am assuming these cans are completely done for at this point. :( *EDIT* Somehow I was able to turn them on again after this happened. When I reconnected them to the pc it recognised the device! Fingers crossed this firmware update fixes my prior issues.

LividmatterSorry to hear that. I was initially satisfied with these until they self-bricked, and now after reading of so many other customers' issues, and worst of all how the new firmware actually makes things worse, I have to say Drop put out a bad/poorly-engineered product. If you're international I would suggest getting a refund and waiting for v2 instead since a replacement is gonna take forever.

Joe405Those are my thoughts too. I really hope they manage to get a 'stable' panda sometime in the future, because I am going to miss the sound these produce :(

LividmatterHad the same issue, it is like the music slowdowns or speeds up right? May I ask what device are you using for listening in LDAC? I started the RMA process, but it seems that they will ship it via USPS and your local Postal Service when you are an international client which in my case is just not a reliable option. Your best bet is to reset them and use them maybe with another codec. I can't use Apt X HD but it might be more stable so I will try again at least with Apt X and see if the issues dissappear. Might ask for a refund sadly.

Jo1445I am using my OnePlus 6. Funny story; It started working again. After the battery drained, I let it sit around for a couple of days. With the intent of not distracting myself during exams. Re-charged them 2 days ago. So far they have been functioning without issue... No clue why though. As soon as these have another hiccup I will ask for a refund though. I don't much like the idea of being a 500 buck-beta tester.

LividmatterIf you do, please reply on this thread. I have had this issue, but it has never "fixed itself". It usually involves a reset and 2 more weeks give or take to fail again. I find it odd that both our phones use the same SOC and are approximately the same age... Might it be an issue with the shared components? I was blaming Samsung since they have a sub optimal codec support (probably for parity sake between different offered processors on their range of phones) but having the same issue as me on the same platform does catch my eye. Hopefully I will have a new phone soon and test this theory.

Jo1445We should not be having to blame our streaming equipment though. As long as it streams audio in a compatible format.

LividmatterTrue, the thing is I really don't want to go through an RMA when there is no guarantee I will get a pair of headphones back and I am looking all around the chain to see what might cause this and fix it myself (engineer quirks I guess). If I could test LDAC on another device I could be certain whether the headphones or the phone is the issue and work from there. It also is something I have not seen widely reported here in the forums, so it points me towards my phone being the issue and you are the first other one who has had this issue (I think). Hopefully you don't have more issues going forward.
