Product Description
The world’s first wireless headphone with a high-bandwidth Bluetooth audio codec, a THX AAA™ amplifier, and phase-correct planar-ribbon drivers (a combination we call the 3P Signal Path), Panda puts you closer to your music than ever before—wherever life takes you.
My second pair just broke. No longer will connect with Bluetooth and Windows complaining that the USB device is corrupted. When they work, they're the best wireless headphones out there. It's just unfortunate how much of a crapshoot support is on software and the hardware.
so my panda's died a while ago, bluetooth started dipping in and out constantly, headband was cracking and got too loose so i put them down and gave up.
recently though i started enjoying some wireless headphones again and started to miss the panda's...
I want to attempt to fix my pair and maybe even improve them but it looks like it might be tricky and will probably need the support of Drop..
Just started looking into the bluetooth chipset which seems to be a Qualcomm QCC5124, it might be possible to replace that with a new QCC5181 chipset (same pinout, power requirements, etc) but I'll need to have the headphones firmware reprogrammed to work with it...
I know its a long shot but has anyone attempted this and willing to share?
or is it too hard basket without having the source code for the firmware?
Drop? wanna make a custom firmware for this experiment? ;)
Bluetooth on the left ear is dead now. Really disheartening after all the work I've put in designing and 3D printing braces for both broken hinges to keep them running. Still works when plugged in, but this really sucks. Tried resetting and tried another bluetooth device, but no change.
i know im late but i just got my pair and they dont work! they are fully charged and everything and ever time i press the power button the white light goes on and goes away no audio queue no nothing i have reset then more then 10 times and still nothing what do i do?
JakeMerrimanThis use to happen to me frequently when I charged the Pandas overnight! I think it has something to do with overcharging the device. After letting the battery drain and charging for only about 10 - 15 mins, it's working again. I also reverted the firmware back to ensure connectivity remains consistent and sure enough it worked.
anyone know if there might be setting to make the sleep timer on the headsets longer?
Been in TEAMS meetings and the headset just timesout and disconnects from the PC.
Only work around I found was to turn on spoitfy and lower the volume on it while in the meeting, but wanting a better fix.
Who do I contact to start an RMA return?
My pair have been fine but suddenly the left ear cup stopped working and only emmits a loud hiss while the right ear cup plays normally
RETR0_MI7I didn't know there were updates for the headphones oO. I have kept mine stock from the first wave... Should I even try to find out how to update them?
This piece of crap headphone broke in TWO different locations, both on the ear/cup holders on opposite sides.
Literally a piece of crap, drop sucks now. dont trust their in house stuff. I have babied these headphones since I receieved them and they literally are breaking from me using them on my head.
Drop has just become another amazon clone fronting for an actual company that can build products. I'd be surprised if anyone can see this comment after mods hide it
Anyone tried Edifier Stax Spirit S3? It sounds sort of like the same philosophy as the THX Pandas: planar, optimized for sound quality. No noise canceling. Only difference is it needs to be on even when used with audio cable.
There are reviews on sounstagesolo, wirecutter saying how great these are for sound quality.
and, 80 hour battery life
Thanks.
