Great concept, very bad quality control
I had purchased this tent for my backpacking trip, tent had a cut in the inner piece and another one on the pouch, contacted drop (customer service was great by the way!) and they send me a replacement. The replacement tent arrived jam packed in a tiny box and after opening the box there was a cut on a plastic package and a cut on the pouch in a different area. Did not even bothered to assemble the tent to look for additional cuts. Since there was no damage on the box it seems like who ever prepared it for shipping did not inspect the product. Contacted drop customer service and is waiting on response.

SRGCALSorry to hear about these troubles. I'm not quite clear on the origin of these cuts. Are you saying the tent was packed into too small of a box, so it was cut when you opened it?

dandurstonNope! The tent was cut prior to me opening the box, as a matter of fact upon a closer inspection I found even more cuts on the pouch. The cuts were on the opposite side (bottom side) from where I opened it, that is why I did not see it right away

SRGCALI see. So someone in the warehouse must have cut it with a knife when they opened the shipment....or maybe the tent was opened by customs (if you're international) and damaged then. The tent itself should be very high quality, but of course can be damaged by inattention during handling. Was it the same for the first tent you got (a cut through the packaging)? If the second tent is only cut on the pouch, Drop may be willing to ship you a replacement pouch or partial refund if you are willing to use the existing one.

dandurstonThe first time I did not think about inspecting for cuts and unfortunately did not notice the cuts until after I got to my first camp site and started setting up tent, but the pouch and the tent both had cuts the first tent. And I’m in California so there is no customs involved unless it’s being shipped from overseas, I think it’s something at the warehouse. I just want a non damaged/defective tent as that is what I paid for. I’m going on a trip this weekend and was hoping to use the tent, but now I have to find alternatives as this one is not reliable at this point. I just can’t believe that after me notifying drop about my issue, no one actually inspected the replacement before shipping to me again considering that I had this happened to me once already!

SRGCALThanks for the additional information and sorry about this continued problem. That's is really unfortunate you got a warehouse damaged tent twice. We've never heard of that before, but perhaps there was a pallet shipment where someone in the warehouse really slashed it open and damaged a few. Drop should be able to help you out with this issue. If not, let me know and I'll help you out.
