Are there any keyboards with layouts identical to the 2nd sample image? I'm very fond of the look and would happily buy a board with this specific layout.

d3eimzThat's the Zambumon Sar. It's an on-going project which will be available for pre-order hopefully later this year.

ZambumonSo we'll be seeing it here on MassDrop, before November/December 2019? Had to reorder extra Keys in this Group Buy to include the ones needed to cover your Super-neat designed keyboard. Just make sure MassDrop doesn't cheap out on their STABILIZERS here, your design must use authentic GMK stabs all the way.

TriciashinAlready have the FC980C in my possession. It's alright but mostly interested in knowing what switches will be supplied with Zambumon's Keyboard. Hope it's 67g Zilent's ; )

ElrickMost probably no switches will come with the board. You have to purchase switches by your own for most custom keyboards.
ElrickI don't think that will be the case for Sar.

ElrickHey Elrick, I was looking to buy a Leopold FC980M, why do you think FC980C is 'alright'? Trying to get a second opinion from a actual owner. :p Thanks!

StephhhenThe FC980C is a 'thorpie-based' keyboard hence all of it's switches are all kind of weak. If they actually sold one model with all 55g spring weight, then it's something I would acquire instantly. As I'm getting older I need far harder/heavier switches than I use to, when I was young. I tend to thump my switches on a routine basis, so any keyboard not up to the task will perish soon after.

ElrickAh I see... So it was nothing related to the layout, but more about the switches.

StephhhenExactly, the layout is completely usable especially when you want all the keys on a full sized keyboard selectively shrunk down, to a smaller size. With this kind of layout, an FN key is almost unnecessary ; )
