Since I'm not good at visualizing the numbers as they pertain to fit, how do these fit compared to a typical pair of Levis 505? I'm old, so I like high rise jeans with straight legs but not too baggy they flop around in the wind when I'm riding a motorcycle. Also I wear sanforized 34 or 35" waist jeans (true to size, don't shrink in the wash) so what size should I order in these if I don't plan on washing them for about a year? 34? I prefer them to be baggy at the waist as opposed to tight. I have bought selvedge denim from other makers under the promise I needed to size down because they'd stretch (and they never did.. and I never wear them because I'm too fat.)
SilverheadHey Silverhead,
These actually sound like the perfect jeans for you. Based on the measurements I could find from Levi's, our 002 will fit pretty close to the 505. Also the jeans will DEFINITELY stretch at least an inch in the waist, and like you said, they're a straight cut without being too baggy. I do a lot of heavy squatting and have plenty of room in the thigh. I would recommend ordering a 34".
