I do not suppose this will be compatible with hotswap sockets (https://novelkeys.xyz/products/kailh-pcb-sockets), right?

yroehtThis is not a hot swap PCB. You'll need to solder switches in when using the DZ60. It's a great PCB though that I've used on 3 boards now!

yroehtNo but Millmax sockets will work. You‘ll have to solder them in but it will make it hotswappable. That’s what my latest build is running.

yroehtYou can just buy the version with hotswap if you don't care about the underglow. https://kbdfans.com/collections/60/products/dz60rgb-ansi-mechanical-keyboard-pcb

yroehtNot those type of sockets but I used 7305 sockets here https://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en/mill-max-manufacturing-corp/7305-0-15-15-47-27-10-0/ED1039-ND/1765737 and made my dz60 hotswappable. Only thing to note is one of the legs to the right side of the esc key is weirdly small and doesn't fit. I didn't solder a key to it anyways and only soldered a socket to one leg and it works fine.

emdot_pWould you mind sharing the model of sockets you used?

LopedogI forgot to add the escape key is tricky as one socket fit. I had a spare Holtite socket from a another PCB build that fits in but needed to solder it carefully to work.

emdot_pHi, sorry for jumping in an old post/comment, I'm planning to build a board with the DZ60 rev 3 and make it hotswap so I can easily switch between different layouts. I noticed that one hole of the escape key is smaller, I did some research and found this thread, luckily. I read your note that the holtite socket fits. Can I ask what specific holtite socket this is and how does it fair when plugging in/out a switch, does it fit just fine? Hoping you're still active lol. Thanks in advance!

emdot_pOh yes that's what I'm planning to use also, but I'm looking at the one smaller hole of the escape key, as you mentioned you used a holtite socket, was it the 8134 socket? If so, does it fit well? Btw, that was fast! Thank you for the reply!

jerichmgnFor that particular hole, I soldered it on my boards cause I never planned to switch out the switch from that key. Sorry I couldn't be more help with your question. If you're on Reddit, check the r/mechanicalkeyboards group as someone may confirm if the 8134 socket will work.

jerichmgnHey, so, we're you able to confirm if the 8134 socket works? Also, how'd your build go? I'm curious to see your completed build.
