These chairs are sort of a safety risk, QC is legit crap back got messed up and I'm under warranty and they said I was supposed to receive the parts a month ago, but they said things are still delayed..
Had QC issues from the start, tear in the seat, plastic armrest portion cracked :/
I was hoping I could get a refund but I'm way past 30 days, and the company basically says we don't do refunds
Sigh... four months out of warranty and the seat of the chair (which apparently is made out of plastic?!?!?) broke - one of the arms now droops down and the chair sits lopsided. This was after daily use (about 4 days a week, 5-6 hours a day in an office setting). Not the quality I thought I was getting.
Update: The official Massdrop customer service was very unhelpful, but Brian (Massdrop employee who can be found in the comments below) has been very helpful. He says eblue will be able to get me a replacement seat. Will update again if this comes through.)
Has anyone had trouble with the PU leather surface flaking away? Every time I've bought chairs with PU leather or similar in the past the coating has flaked away within a year.
Well, here's awkwardness on top of awkwardness --
Noticed over the last 24 hours or so that the stitching on the seat on my chair is coming apart (after 4 months of being sat in by someone who weighs less than 200 pounds!)
Since the product apparently has a 1 year e-blue warranty, I went on their site and e-mailed them to submit a request. 5 minutes later... surprise! Their support mailbox is completely full, and my e-mail is undeliverable. Going to try e-blue's general e-mail address, and then have to rely on Massdrop's team if I can't get any satisfaction that way.
E: which I apparently can't - that e-mail address is also undeliverable! Goodness.
ilumoNot to e-Blue directly - Massdrop was eventually able to contact someone along the supply chain, and they sent me a new seat. So, +1 for Massdrop CS!
put the chair together 2 hours ago seat on it for a good hour feels comfortable, really comfortable and solid material . sadly the second i adjustable the chair i was confused shit doesnt work .... lever goes back and worth but the chair doesnt at all!! Has anyone else have the same problem ??
kenneThe particular chairs have the "rock and lock" mechanism. When you pull the lever to lean back you actually have to slightly tilt forward and then it will release and you can freely lean back.
Cheers.
If anyone wants to buy an all black Massdrop Exclusive E-Blue Cobra chair, let me know, I'll give you a good deal and it's still new.
Reason for selling: Spent too much money on headphones...ugghhggg
sr108I'm wondering the same thing. Going only on the numbers I see on the site, looks like 1 chair is $249.99 MSRP with a 1 year warranty, the other is $299.99 MSRP with a 5/10 year warranty. Both sold here for $199.99. Seems like an easy choice based on that alone.
