An update to my post below about my cracked cup. Chan/E-MU has offered to replace the cup for $50 plus $15 for Fed-Ex shipping.
Wow really? That's weak. I'm getting nervous about the durability of these cans and the company backing them.

Only one cup is cracked and I have not been asked to send it back. My impression is that only the one cup is being replaced.
I thought they go by the pair. Correct me if im wrong. But then again, i just need one cup cracked or not. Send me an email if interested.

Normally they are sold by the pair and I might be wrong about this as I have not yet received the replacement but my impression is that I am getting a special order to only replace the one cup. If I decide to sell the cracked one I will send you an email.
wow thats pretty lame honestly. i just received mine brand new and there is a large crack already. mine better be replaced at no charge. how long did you have them
I had them for two months when I noticed the cable connector was loose so had to remove the cup and then the driver in order to tighten the screw that holds the connector. That's when I noticed the crack in the cup. If you just received yours with a crack I assume the cup will be replaced without charge. I am probably being charged because it is two months after I got the headphones.
ahh okay. gotcha still pretty ticked they got shipped this way.
Let us know what they say about replacing them. I posted about the blemish my right cup has and would like to hear what they will do about that.
not going to happen i guess. they said send em back they dont have any more to send out. no offer at all to replace the cups. so i guess anyone with blemishes or cracks etc will either have to accept them or send em back and be without. im very annoyed if you cant tell. what should have happened is they contact chan and have new ones sent out. even ask to send these back first i dont care all i wanted was new cups in the condition they should have been to start with. nothing more. good luck. i also sent chan an email and maybe he will make it right before i ship em back. if not im out. sucks plain and simple. for 500$ these should be damn near pristine.
Who did you contact? Massdrop or Chan?
both. massdrop seems to not want to do anything and chan takes forever to respond usually. so i dont want to hang onto them and wait for him and then massdrop says they will not take them back at that point. i will NOT pay for new cups at that point. i would have been fine with a few small issues very small ones but not like this. there was even lint and fuzz in the right ear hole no idea if they have been tried on before??? the left side was clean as can be. i did send an email to someone else at massdrop so i will wait to see what they say.
