I'm really surprised this isn't selling in the thousands. Compensated against the Harman Target Response curve, this headphone is beautifully smooth with bass extending well below Sennheiser's 100 Hz veil and past the 10 KHz spectrum with a soft downward slope throughout to surface its rich bass characteristics. A truly amazing technical AND musical performer.

Perhaps it is because there has been very little coverage about these headphones, while the thx00 was marketed quite differently. Also I think that 400$ and 500$ is quite a big psychological gap to take. It just sounds/feels like much more.
