I've been stalking the website every day as well for either these or the new TH-X00 Purpleheart's with the removable cable. I tried emailing Chan at E-MU, but he hasn't responded and it's been 6 days so far, so I might just have to wait until the next drop.
What are you upgrading from? I'll be upgrading from a pair of Ultrasone Pro 2500's that I've had since Aug 09.

BmxantNot really upgrading. Just collecting. I used to have a pair of AH-D2000 that I <3'ed. Always wanted the 5000 or 7000 and these Teak are better, so score.
My current daily drivers are Fostex T50RP Mk3 (amazing cans for the price) with Brainwavz angled cups, and Massdrop x Hifiman He4xx (also great, but not suitable for rooms with other people). With the Massdrop x Sennheiser HD6xx and HD58x on the way (for shits and giggles).
I expect the Teak will get a lot of use. The Foster drivers in them are just bright enough for my listening preferences.
